Let it be..... [Jun. 12th, 2006|10:31 pm]
[Current Mood |weirdweird]
[Current Music |"Lead Me, O Lord"- India Children's Choir]

My summer begins this week! The Carnival, the first official Wednesdays With Scott, University Days at FUS, going to see 1776 with Ellie at the Dutch Apple Theater, working 30 hours at Subway, and maybe I'll finally finish the John Grisham book I've been "reading" for almost a month now!

Subway was crazy today. I worked 10-2 and then 5-8. But as I come in at 5, Shannon, who would have been working til close, storms into Subway completely enraged. Apparently, her ex-boyfriend revealed to her today that he slept with some girl named Tiana while he was going out with Shannon. The worst part: they did it in Shannon's bed! Shannon ended up not working and pregnant Jenn (or Jeyn as she prefers it to be spelled) had to come in....yeah.

Movie Update: Watched Big Fish, Philadelphia and Cheaper By the Dozen 2.

Polar Opposites in a Biploar Existential Domain [Jun. 10th, 2006|10:53 pm]
[Current Mood |chipperChipper]
[Current Music |Gangsta Rap, yo.]

Friday and Saturday for me were complete opposites. I spent Friday in pajamas watching "Junebug," "The Hours," "Paparazzi," and "The Pelican Brief." Saturday, on the other hand, consisted of Subway for 10.5 hours. Needless to say, I am beat.

I'm too tired to watch a movie now so I'll have to save "Big Fish" for tomorrow after work.

A Procession and a Growing Obsession [Jun. 7th, 2006|07:38 pm]
[Current Mood |hyperMovies!]
[Current Music |James Blunt]

Bishop Kevin came to pray outside of Planned Parenthood today! It was amazing! We had approx. 200 people and they had to call in approx. 10 policemen (that's ten times as many as they usually have)! Bish Kev is off the heezy, yo.

So far today I have watched "The Ring," "The Pianist" and "The Ringer." I am currently waiting for my dad to get home so I can take the car over to Blockbuster to get two more....I have certainly gotten my money's worth on this movie pass thing.

"For the sake of His sorrowful fashion" [Jun. 6th, 2006|11:13 pm]
[Current Mood |chipperChipper]
[Current Music |Tribal Music at Border's....?]

06/06/06...a foreboding sense of fear looms as the kitchen phone rings. Shelley cowers as the quintessential face of horror reveals itself in the form of an electronic ring. A flash of lightening shatters across the dimly-lit horizon. Shelley's eyes widen in utter fear of the unknown, in fear of the voice on the other end of the receiver. "Hello, Lulu." a raspy and gnarled voice abounds in her innocent ears. Suddenly, her legs falter and she crashes onto the white-tiled floor of the kitchen that has become a virtual torture chamber. Another flash of lightening! A scream of terror! "Hello, Lulu." the voice repeats incessantly in her mind. In a desperate attempt to escape the madness that has taken hold of her entire being, she grasps a silver butter knife and unleashes retribution upon the telephone ringing on the wall...

That is part of a short story inspired by the screenplay of "A Horror Film" (Produced by Andrellie Films, Inc.). Poor Shelley. She never stood a chance up against the "Pyre." Bwa ha ha! *Chomp*

In honor of the 18 years and 9 months that Ellie has graced this earth, we bought fireworks at Rutter's. They were consequently launched along the side of her house with an audience of parents, siblings and Peter (Oops! I mean, Andrew). It was utterly amazing.

In other Bova news, Mary and Annie can sing the Divine Mercy Chaplet! "For the sake of His sorrowful fashion..." Annie claims she invented the song but I have reason to believe otherwise. They're adorable.

In movie news, I watched Firewall (Harrison Ford and Virginia Madsen) and The Brothers Grimm (Matt Damon and Heath Ledger).

Katarina Death (Kt's and my child) is doing just fine and the three I have with Ellie are also doing just fine. Uh Huh! Yeah!

06/06/06...... [Jun. 5th, 2006|11:29 pm]
I did absolutely nothing today! I woke up about 1-ish and watched Cinderella Man and Just Like Heaven. Then I worked for two hours. I got to go home early because we were so slow, which was a plus because for the two hours I was there Matt/Pete's friends were hanging around (Kris Moore, Mike Firestone, Jeff Mathison, Zac Taormina, Nick DeCampo, Michael Deller, Scott Lehmann, etc.) so yeah.

Then I helped Chris study for her Spanish final and ended up renting two more movies, The Rainmaker (which is based on a John Grisham book and stars Matt Damon) and The Wedding Date (which I finished watching about ten minutes ago).

Happy Birthday to Ellie! Ah! That means it is the day of the Apocalypse! 06/06/06! L. Ron Hubbard! Ahh!

Graduation and All that Jazz [Jun. 2nd, 2006|01:32 pm]
[Current Mood |hyperAnxious for Graduation!]
[Current Music |A Lifetime- Better Than Ezra]

(Before you read this entry, go back to my last entry and try to guess my ten songs. Malory and Ellie successfully identified 5 of them...)

Tonight is the night. Graduation! It has been idealized in our minds and has been the ultimate goal of all of our years at YC, and now it is finally happening. Earlier in the year I thought that Graduation was going to be so emotional and everyone was going to be crying and what not. Now, I cannot see myself or anyone else for that matter even becoming remotely emotional. I think it's because we are ready to go. (Well, except for Jamie perhaps.)I listened to that Better Than Ezra song, "A Lifetime," this morning 'cause of the first line, "I woke up Graduation day..." So now I am fully prepared for tonight.

I started to watch "The New World" with Colin Farrell, Christian Bale, Christopher Plummer, etc. and after 20 minutes I concluded it was the stupidest movie I had ever seen. (Wait, I take that back.) So, I watched Chicago instead, which was amazing! I loved it! Definitely deserved the Best Picture Oscar!
